Undoubtedly, Santa Cruz boasts numerous breathtaking beaches, but unfortunately, this particular beach fails to meet the expectations of beach-goers. It falls short in terms of cleanliness, amenities, and overall atmosphere, making it a less desirable destination for those seeking a delightful beach experience.

On weekdays, parking can be found near the staircase or within a couple of blocks. The staircase is located at the end of 20th and Cliff also offers parking options. If you require a bathroom or coffee, a Starbucks is conveniently located a few blocks away at Cliff and 17th. In the mornings, expect to see some furry friends around. While the beach may not offer many level sandy spots on weekends, weekdays are less crowded and more accommodating. As the day progresses, the beach becomes a popular spot for the younger crowd to hang out.

Unlike other crowded beaches, you won't find many people here, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the tranquility of the ocean. The beach houses lining the street offer a cozy and comfortable stay for those looking to extend their visit. The waves here are gentle yet invigorating, ideal for a refreshing swim or a relaxing float. As the sun sets, the beach transforms into a lively gathering spot for locals and visitors alike, with bonfires illuminating the night sky and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. If you prefer a more secluded and intimate beach experience, this is the perfect spot for you. However, if you're looking for a livelier atmosphere with more attractions and people, the boardwalk might be a better fit.
