My preferred shoreline in Oahu is located just a short 30-minute drive from the bustling city of Honolulu. I was delighted to discover a food truck serving scrumptious lunch boxes for only $5, which included fresh and juicy pineapple, mango, and pina colada smoothies. The experience was so delightful that I returned to the beach on my final day of vacation.

It's a pleasant spot to hang out, take in the ocean views, and unwind. Personally, I enjoy exploring the tidepools to discover fascinating marine creatures.

The beach is open to the public and there's no entrance fee. However, it's important to keep in mind that it's not advisable to leave your belongings in plain sight and swimming is not recommended at this location. As for the name sandy beach dunes, it's unclear who came up with it.

We had a brief but enjoyable time with our family and relatives at Sandy Beach Dunes on Kalanianaʻole Hwy in Honolulu, Hawaii. Despite the weather, we were able to take some great photos. The beach is truly impressive.
