The beach was truly amazing! I absolutely loved the historical section they had, which added so much depth to the overall experience. The beach itself was absolutely breathtaking, and I'm already planning to return in the future.

This beach is a perfect spot to catch the annual Sand Castle competition held by Pt Reyes National Seashore on the last Saturday of August, just a week before the Labor Day weekend. There is a spacious parking lot located a short distance away from the beach. Additionally, there is a building that houses a small cafe/food store. Although it only opens on certain weekends, you can enjoy hot beverages and snacks there. However, it's important to note that in the spring, you should check the Pt Reyes Seashore National Park website as the beach is closed to the public during seals pupping season.

This beach is definitely one of the best I've been to. When we arrived on a Monday morning around 11 am, there was not a single soul in sight. We had the whole place to ourselves for a solid 30 minutes or so. The water felt incredibly clean and refreshing against our feet. What caught my attention the most was the picturesque appearance of this beach. The cliffs and pristine golden sand were a sight to behold, and it wasn't windy enough for the sand to be blowing all over the place. It was quite photogenic. Right in front of the parking area, there is a small pond where several ducks can be found. The restrooms are conveniently located inside the visitor center.

I absolutely adored this place - it was such a delightful spot to catch a glimpse of the elephant seals. The adorable little pups on the shore were simply irresistible. Being able to observe them up close was truly remarkable, as you could even see their captivating eyes seemingly gazing right at you. It's fascinating to learn from the park ranger that these creatures were originally land animals that returned to the sea. Witnessing these incredible creatures at such proximity was an unforgettable experience.

In January 2023, the beach is currently occupied by elephant seals who are in the process of weaning their young. Although you may not be able to physically reach the beach, you can still catch a glimpse of them from the parking lot.
