Oxted - all beaches

We had a fantastic time at Thorney Bay Beach one sunny day, enjoying a fun-filled afternoon with the kids. The sand was lovely to walk on, and we all had a blast!

Upon my first visit to this beach, I was delighted to discover that I would happily return. The coastline is comprised of both sandy and pebbled areas, so if you have a preference for sand, continue your search. It is important to note that the tide does come in quite far, so it is best to keep an eye on your belongings. However, this only lasts for a brief period, and we took advantage of the opportunity to grab some food before returning to the beach. Although it was quite busy on the day we visited, it was not excessively crowded, and there were numerous restaurants in close proximity for lunch or dinner. It is undeniable that this beach is one of the finest in the United Kingdom!

This beach is a wonderful spot to relax and let go of your worries. While there may not be many amenities in the area, you'll be rewarded with a peaceful and uncrowded coastal walk, a lush meadow, a pleasant café with public restrooms, and ample free or affordable parking options. It's a great place to spend a day with your family, thanks to its charming pebble beach. I highly recommend it.
