This beach is truly one of the best in the world, boasting stunning sand and crystal clear waters. When the tide is low, a land strip appears leading to Elafonisi Island, and even when the tide is high, the water remains shallow enough to easily walk through. Though it can get crowded, it's no surprise given the beauty of the beach and the fact that everyone wants to experience it. While there are some areas with pink sand, it's important to note that the beach itself is not and never has been pink, so it's best to keep your expectations realistic to avoid any disappointment.

Undoubtedly, this beach on Crete is the epitome of beauty. It rivals even the esteemed Balos beach, yet boasts the added convenience of accessibility. The azure hues of the water are so captivating that you could spend hours gazing at it, unable to look away. The beach's immaculate white sand is reminiscent of those found in the Caribbean, and the lack of plastic waste only adds to its allure. The cedar trees provide ample shade, making it a delightful spot to unwind. I have visited countless beaches, yet this one reigns supreme. While the descent to the beach may not be arduous, it is advisable to forego flip-flops.

With just under 30 euros, you can lounge under the shade of the large umbrellas all day long, which was perfect for me as I wanted to avoid getting sunburned. The watermelon they serve is massive and incredibly tasty. The water is refreshing and teeming with lovely fish in the rocky areas. Additionally, there is a spot where you can rent water sports equipment and paddleboards. This place is certainly worth every penny and a must-see destination.

This idyllic beach, located approximately 4 kilometers from Paleochora, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the sea that will leave you spellbound. While it takes about an hour to hike along the coast to reach this serene destination, the stunning scenery along the way makes the journey well worth it. However, if hiking isn't your thing, don't fret - it's also possible to reach this hidden gem by car. Either way, you won't be disappointed with the picturesque beauty that awaits you.
