view the best beach places
Pristine location. The hotel staff were excellent. The breakfast provided was satisfactory, while the lunch and dinner menus were very good. The chefs clearly took pride in their cooking. The beach was wonderful, although the first couple of meters had some green algae that discouraged immediate diving in. We walked about 2 km towards Moully to find algae-free swimming spots. I don't believe this algae is present all year round. We stayed for 6 nights, which I think is too long; 3 nights would be sufficient as you can see all the tourist spots in a single day. I recommend hiring a car before you arrive to pick up at the airport. I've read in previous reviews, "I don't understand why safes in rooms are not bolted down." If you're seeking tranquility and paradise, this is the place.
The beach is an amazing destination with crystal clear water and a stunning shoreline! It's perfect for a refreshing swim!🙂
The campsite is situated in a highly inconvenient location, all the way in the southern part of Ouvéa, a staggering 15 kilometers away from the nearest grocery store or service station. I would recommend sending an email beforehand to inquire about the nightly rates, as once you arrive, they tend to arbitrarily increase the prices, even if you show them your reservation confirmation via email. The breakfast option, priced at an additional 900 francs, is nothing more than a baguette meant to be shared among 10 people, accompanied by jam that expired six months ago. Adding to the disappointment, the managers of the campsite are extremely unfriendly, making it quite challenging to receive even a simple smile. They seem to go out of their way to make you feel like a burden. One may wonder, why would they even bother opening a cottage in the first place? That question remains unanswered.
The bay is quite picturesque, with colonial pines encircling it. One can witness turtles swimming and taking breaths on the surface. It's a serene spot with not many tourists around. During our stay on the island, the local music festival took place at this bay, making it a lively spot in the evenings.
