The beach near the Maha-oya estuary is stunningly wide and directly impacted by the flow of the river. Convenient parking is available near the church.

I am originally from Bangladesh. During my business trip to Sri Lanka from September 7th to August 8th, 2023, I stayed near Negambo beach for a few days. Whenever I had free time from work, I would spend my afternoons at Negambo beach. It was not too crowded except on holidays. The experience of sitting on the sandy shore and watching the sunset was truly special. I would sit alone and hum to myself. I really missed my friends during those moments. Singing loudly is much more enjoyable when surrounded by friends.
