I had the pleasure of joining a hiking group during my visit to the apple. Our journey began at the harbor where we embarked on a 25-kilometer hike to the Agios Ioannis Monastery. From there, we continued our trek to the fig tree cave, which took approximately an hour. The cave was a sight to behold as the sky seemed to have fallen, creating a beautiful beach oasis. What made the experience even more special was that we arrived on foot, rather than by speedboat. It was a truly unique and unforgettable adventure.

The natural cavity of the beach is simply breathtaking and will leave you in awe. To get there, park your car before the monastery and follow the trail marked by rock formations. If you're unsure about the path, you can refer to maps provided by tourist offices or download the track from sites like Wikimap. If you're driving, be prepared for rough dirt roads that require a skilled driver or a jeep. Despite the obstacles, the beach is a hidden gem that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and connected to nature.
