The beach is quite lovely, but make sure to choose the perfect spot when renting beach chairs.

The beach is quite peaceful, whether you choose to use sunbeds or not, as it is quite spacious. It takes about an hour to drive there from Rethymno on a fairly easy road, aside from a few tricky spots. The water appeared slightly murky, likely due to the waves, but the combination of the sandy shoreline and the waves provided a great opportunity for beach games. Additionally, parking near the beach is almost always available. I highly recommend paying it a visit.

This beach is one of the best I've ever visited. It is incredibly clean and definitely worth a visit. The waves here are quite powerful and can toss you around, but the beach itself is entirely sandy, which adds to the fun. It's a perfect spot for kids as they can go as far as 100 meters into the water and still be able to stand.

The beach is absolutely amazing, with a fantastic atmosphere, pristine white sand, and plenty of spots to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink. The beaches in Plakias, as well as those near the town's shopping center, are incredibly clean. Over the past few years, this once hidden gem has gained popularity as a tourist destination, yet it still retains its magical charm.

4 Frustrating

I went to the beach in April and found that only a handful of shops and cafes were open. The beach was undergoing construction for a new walkway, making the place appear quite messy. However, I believe it will greatly improve once all the construction work is completed.
