It's a great spot to find some peace and quiet! With only a handful of people around, it almost feels like a private beach. The last stretch of the road, about 200-300 meters, is off-road, but it's definitely worth it. I'd say it's even better than Elafonisi!

The road leading to the beach is unpaved, adding to the rustic appeal of the location. The water is exceptionally inviting, although the wind can be quite robust.

I didn't come across this beach on any must-visit lists for Chania, but a local suggested we make a stop there en route to Elafonissi. Essentially, it's a natural pool formed by rock formations that keep the sea water calm and flat, in stark contrast to the rough waves outside. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and found it almost deserted, with just a handful of swimmers around. The route to the beach is fairly straightforward, but you have to turn off the main road onto a small lane that looks like someone's driveway. The road eventually narrows, but any car can navigate it, albeit at a slower pace. Once you park, there are a few trees for shade, but no amenities, so bring your own snacks and drinks if necessary.

If you want to avoid the crowds, head to this beach in the morning. During our trip, we also visited Aspri Limni, which was equally impressive. The water in the lagoon is colder than the sea, but the sand is soft and the entrance appears to be made of concrete. It's easy to reach by car, although the road is dirt in some parts, it's still short and well-maintained.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem while seeking refuge from the overcrowded Elafonisi beach. The natural lagoon boasts crystal-clear turquoise water and is easily accessible, with very few visitors in sight.
