The carpark was crowded, but there was plenty of room on the beach. The surf club was hosting a BBQ fundraiser, which was fantastic.

There is a free drumming circle at Brunswick by the Surf Club every Sunday from 4-6pm. You can come and enjoy the beats, and there may be fire twirlers at some point. Whether you choose to dance or sit is up to you. The atmosphere is beautiful.

The beach has a great atmosphere, with a pleasant short walk of about 8 minutes over the Brunswick River bridge to reach the main beach. There is a charming hidden van cafe along the way, and the people around are lovely. The beach has a strong surf and current when the weather is suitable, but the lifeguards are attentive. It is peaceful and not too crowded in the evening during the two times I visited.
