This place truly blew away our expectations in every way. I cannot recommend staying at this hotel enough for your next special occasion celebration- especially for couples. We came here for the start of our Honeymoon, and they went above and beyond to make us feel appreciated and taken care of. The service was excellent and tailored to our preferences in so many ways- all the way down to hand delivered complimentary coffee in the morning to our rooms. All of the staff was excellent and super friendly, but some to callout were Pablo, Alex, Ariel, Balde, Alma, and Mario just to name a few. They truly made us feel at home for our short stay. The food was 10/10 at both restaurants and the coffee was great. they even hand delivered us free popsicles on the beach to keep us cool, and gave buckets of bottled water at every instance to make sure we were hydrated. The rooms and pools and all amenities around were beatiful and incredibly clean. You can tell the hotel is new but in a good way, and everything smells incredible. The private wade pool on the patio was an excellent touch. I cannot speak of this place more highly- and cannot wait for the chance to go back. It is definitely much smaller than some of the other large resorts around Punta Mita, but that just makes you feel more at home.

An absolute dream - the nicest place I've ever stayed. It doesn't whisper to your heart, it wraps it in a full-bodied hug. Expensive? Yeah, brutally so. But worth every penny. The staff, the facility, the food, the scenery. All top notch. We hope to he back! This was a big treat for us (wife's 50th) and we were pretty careful in choosing where to go. There were so many special little touches, from the welcome margaritas, to the host delivering us a nice handwritten note with the recipe for one of the dips we liked and asked about, to all of the staff going out of their way to know us and address us by our names. Too many to shout out, because seriously every single staff member excelled at their craft. The fancy restaurant is delicious (see pics). The only negative is that I wouldn't recommend the tacos from the bar area (salty and expensive for what you get), but oddly, tacos ordered at the pools were good. Literally everything else was world class. We are really going to miss this place.

+ Newer, clean hotel. Beautifully appointed rooms with large private balcony and oceans views. Nice clean very private beach. Good service although low occupancy at time of our stay (Feb 2023). Tranquil clean spa area. - Difficult to sleep due to extremely uncomfortable firm pillows. No shuttle service (paid $50 USD per trip for the hotel to transport us to Margarita’s on the Hill restaurant (highly recommend) located directly across the street from property - it was dark so we didn’t feel safe to walk off campus due to traffic and etc). Massage was not affordable on high end of typical U.S. rates + 20% service charge automatically added (disclosed upfront though). Food and food selection could use improvement (cocktails were decent). Terrible tacos. Overall I would stay here again but will be more mindful of making advance transportation arrangements for dining off property which I would recommend since overall food is lacking in taste (personal preference).

This place is extremely beautiful, elegant, and well thought out. The service is impeccable upon airport pick up, arrival to the lobby, and handed a margarita (if you so choose). The staff immediately goes above and beyond to make sure you are having not only a great time, but white glove service. The spa is world class - shout out to Priscilla! Specific staff members - Vic, Ochoa, Leo, and Stefan (tequila tasting/head bartender), and the Chef and his assistant for the May 4th cooking class are absolute standout professionals. I would absolutely return with my husband and/or a small group, however, I would be inclined to triple check whether or not another event/wedding would be in production during my next stay as this resort is small and intimate.

EDIT: I have since had a few conversations with management and they have rectified every concern. I understand that the Susurros is touted as one of the premier resorts in Punta Mita/PVR. While the trip began on a promising note, a series of mishaps ultimately ruined our stay, reflecting a noticeable gap between expectations and reality. Our initial inconvenience began with early check-in not being honored, resulting in a three-hour wait. During this period, we requested that some perishable food items from our car be stored to prevent spoilage. Unfortunately, this request was overlooked, and the food was left in the car, where it spoiled. Expectations were further let down during our dining experiences. Despite having confirmed reservations for a sunset beach dinner, upon arrival, we were informed that no such reservations existed and the desired slot was fully booked. Ultimately they would get us “on the list” but what’s the point of having reservations if you have to redo everything? Additionally, our breakfast orders were incorrectly prepared and required redoing, leading to further delays, when they were already greatly backed up due to a wedding party. One of the highlights we anticipated was a prepared bath after a lavish dinner costing $500 for two, inclusive of a mandatory 17% service charge, taxes, and fees. Regrettably, no one came by to do draw the bath. The irony is that during check in the attendant (who was indeed a very nice person) brought up the drawing a bath as an example of something they could and would do for us. Interesting to bring up something like that and then not do it. Post-stay, obtaining a copy of our folio to review charges became an ordeal. Despite assurances that it would be sent within 24 hours of our departure, multiple follow-up calls were necessary to obtain it. When I do finally get it, I find that a balloon that I had requested to be in the room that read “Happy 2 Year Anniversary” cost $2,343 pesos. I’m all for understanding that a luxury resort will be pricey, but at what point does it become gouging? Lastly, our experience with the late check-out option, guaranteed until 4pm, was inconsistent. Initially, we were unsure if we could retain our room until the designated time. Confirmation came only at 2pm on the day of departure. However, upon returning to our room at 2:45pm, we found ourselves locked out, in bathing suits, and waiting 15 minutes to regain access. In summary, while the rooms and property are undeniably beautiful—truly the only redeeming feature—our overall experience fell short of the luxury standard we expected from the Auberge Collection.
