This place is in need of some upgrades. It's a small, outdated resort, which was disappointing compared to the huge Hard Rock resort I stayed at last year. The rooms were average and on the smaller side, with difficult-to-close shower doors. They definitely need to be renovated. The pools were decent, but they could have been larger and more spread out. There wasn't much to do here, and they didn't offer many excursion options either.
However, the food options were a plus. The restaurants were all great, offering a wide variety of choices. The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. One highlight of our trip was having dinner on the beach, which was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend trying it, and we even got some lovely pictures taken by the photographer.
On the other hand, I absolutely despised the hotel tour where they try to sell you a plan. It took much longer than they promised and consumed almost half of one of our limited days there. Since the place is small and outdated, there wasn't much to see. The room they showed us was alright, but this hotel is not a good choice to promote to people.
Furthermore, once we declined the sales pitch, they sent other people to try to change our minds. It became very annoying and dragged out unnecessarily. While everyone was nice, when someone says no, it should be respected. It made me feel like a day of my vacation was wasted listening to an overpriced sales pitch. We agreed to participate, so that's on us, but it went on for far too long.
If you're looking for a place to simply relax, then this place is fine. However, there aren't many great views or activities to enjoy.
