Fantastic beach. Good access. Its one from a string of beaches, all with good quality sand, generally little to no currents. The promenade, more than just access, makes for a great walk in the morning, afternoon or evening. Food-wise, there are many restaurants to choose from. Many hidden gems just 200-500m away from the beach. It can be busy in the height of summer and same goes for parking. At first glance the town can seem its just the beaches, but it offers a extraordinary base for so much more. I grew up there and still is one of my prime spots around the world and can't but keep coming back.

This beach offers a plethora of amenities, however, due to its proximity to Quarteira, it can become quite crowded. The sand and water are comparable to other beaches in the area, boasting yellow sand and crystal clear, chilly waters with a few patches of seaweed. The waves can be a bit rough at times, as evidenced by a heroic lifeguard who recently removed two massive jellyfish from the shore, which had washed up due to the strong currents.

This beach is absolutely delightful, with a long and impeccably kept boardwalk that is perfect for strolling. There are also plenty of eateries and cafes in the vicinity, making it an ideal spot for a day out. The terrain is relatively flat and there are lifeguards on duty until early evening, although this may vary depending on the season. Umbrella rentals are available, but be sure to book quickly during the busy summer months. This beach has a wonderful mix of both locals and tourists, and I have been visiting for three decades now. Although it has become more crowded and touristy over the years, it has not lost any of its natural beauty and charm. ♥️
