Despite being only 100 feet wide, its beauty and the dramatic cliffs that encircle it are captivating. The beach is so intimately sized that it sometimes vanishes during high tide, adding to its allure and mystery. One of the beach's most distinctive features is its man-made ocean pool, which is naturally refilled with seawater as the tide rises. This pool, along with the popular fish restaurant (Água e Sal) located just above it, provides a perfect spot to enjoy the local cuisine while taking in the panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Quite beautifull place even tho there are quite a lot of people. The pool is quite easy to access, although it does take some walking down stairs that are easy to walk on.

Look at this beauty! The place looks like it's straight out of a picture. Despite visiting during the windy and chilly winter season, the experience was incredibly refreshing. Honestly, I loved it so much.

Wonderful place. You can even walk from Azenhas do Mar viewpoint to Praia da Macas (about 15 minutes walk on the sides of the ocean) to get the old school tram and take the 45 mins ride to Sintra. The view is okay from the tram. As of July 2024, it cost 5 euros per person, cash only, on the tram.
