We were there at low tide but on a windy day. There was nobody when we were there but also it was low period in December. We could see the pools but the waves were still crashing in so much that I didn’t think it will be safe to enter. It was still nice to dip our feet for a bit but definitely disappointing that we couldn’t get in.

Picturesque bay surrounded by dramatic volcanic landscape. The walk down is pretty long (130 m altitude difference) and steep-ish here and there. Definitely worth a visit, just make sure to time it with the low tide so you can swim in the pools. Otherwise you'll just be staring at the waves like we did.

Very nice place. Huge waves on the day I was visiting, pools were under water, but no less beautiful. It has grill area for you to enjoy, but be ready to carry everything for quite a hike down there.

Probably the best piscinas naturais on Porto Santo. Suitable for families with kids. Several nice pools. It very depends on the tide, therefor check tide for the specific day or upcoming days on web. We visited this place in August at 11:00 AM and it was perfect. There is completely new road down to the piscinas, but you need 4x4 car, otherwise you have to park on top and go down by walk. You can do barbecue.

Steep road down to lovely beach. If you want to bathe, then time with low water. We missed low, but had great show of big waves.
