The beach is an absolute gem, stretching over 3 miles and leading up to the majestic Bamburgh Castle. We visited after a delightful boat trip to the Farne islands, and it was just a short 10-minute stroll from the main car parks near the port. The walk to the beach was breathtaking, with awe-inspiring views that left us spellbound. The water was crystal clear, and the hues of blue, green, emerald, turquoise, brown, and yellow were mesmerizing. We were able to see everything beneath the water, which made our experience even more magical.
As soon as we hit the sand, we set up our spot and spent a considerable amount of time exploring the rocks and splashing around in the pristine waters. We had a blast collecting shells and looking for sea creatures. Although we only explored a small portion of the beach, we are already planning to return when we visit Bamburgh Castle to frolic in the sands there.
The beach is so vast and diverse that it rivals any exotic location in Spain, Greece, or elsewhere. We feel so fortunate to have such a beautiful gem on our very own coasts, and we cannot wait to return to this breathtaking paradise.
