The beach and the mountain backdrop are incredibly stunning. It's advisable to secure parking before 8:30am, as some people park here and walk back to Tunnels Beach. There are restroom facilities and showers available near the parking lot, and the beach is supervised by a lifeguard. Due to rough ocean conditions in October, it was recommended to only go knee-deep for a dip. Make sure not to miss the cave across the street.

It was an incredibly peaceful spot, and it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. The snorkeling experience there was fantastic.

Beach Park is a well-maintained and secure destination that is definitely worth a visit. It offers the opportunity to explore Tunnels/Makua Beach and a dry cave, making it an excellent spot for summer snorkeling. I would recommend bringing chairs, umbrellas, and a cooler for a full-day outing. The park provides convenient facilities such as restrooms, showers, picnic tables, and even a food truck. Additionally, there is a vendor who sells coconuts and will cut them open for you to enjoy a refreshing sip. However, it's important to note that parking tends to fill up quickly, so it's advisable to arrive early or consider using the GoHaena shuttle service. This shuttle operates at both the Beach Park and State Park, which is located just one mile away. The State Park offers access to attractions like the Kalalau/Hanakapiai trailhead, Ke'e beach, taro patch, and wet caves.

I really enjoyed this beach! It had a peaceful atmosphere and the surroundings were well-maintained. Although swimming in the beach water wasn't really an option, there was a little lagoon nearby where kids could have fun splashing around in the water that spilled over from the waves.

This beach is absolutely stunning! It's a peaceful and secluded spot that truly feels like paradise. However, it's important to note that the reef can be quite rough and there is a strong undercurrent in May, so it's only recommended for experienced swimmers. I can't stress enough how breathtakingly beautiful it is!
