Latest reviews on Lagoa's beaches

Praia da Balbina
8 Ember

I have mixed feelings about this beach. While it's undeniably beautiful, the sea entrance is just too rocky 🫤🫤. It's secluded and uncrowded, giving it a unique appearance that makes you feel like you're on Mars or in the Sahara desert 🏜️🏜️! It's very nice, but ultimately not for us.

Praia da Rocha
10 Saren Frazao

The beach is an absolute gem, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Our stay here was a beautiful blend of tranquil days and invigorating ones, with the occasional gust of wind and waves that added to the charm of the place. The vigilant lifeguards kept a watchful eye on the beachgoers, and on certain occasions, they had to prohibit swimming due to safety concerns. However, this was a welcome measure, ensuring the well-being of all visitors. For the surfing enthusiasts, the waves were a tad challenging, posing a thrilling test of skill and determination. Despite the difficulties, the surfers persevered, and the sight of them catching a good wave was a sight to behold. As the end of September approached, the beach was not overly crowded, providing ample space for everyone to bask in the sun and enjoy the scenery. However, the water temperature was a bit chilly, ranging from 16.8-20.3C, but this did not deter the brave souls who ventured into the sea.

Praia dos Salgados
10 Ariella Santoro

This beach is absolutely stunning! There's a great bar and restaurant right on the beach, but if you're coming in the summer, make sure to reserve a table ahead of time because it gets very crowded. The seafood is amazing and the coconut pudding is a must-try.

Praia do Vau
10 Mila Stoneberg

This beach is truly remarkable, boasting stunning coastlines and breathtaking vistas. When the tide recedes, numerous secluded coves are revealed, adding to the allure of this already picturesque location. For a truly unforgettable experience, take a stroll along the cliff path to Alvor and marvel at the magnificent panoramas that await you.

Praia de Alvor
10 Nicolette Spender

This beach was just okay. It required a tedious 10-minute trek from our hotel. The expanse of sand was large, but nothing particularly noteworthy.

Praia da Gale
10 Nikitas Papadopoulos

This stunning beach is an ideal destination for all, including families with little ones. The convenience of parking right next to the beach and a lovely bar on site make it an even more enjoyable experience. The presence of rocks on the beach ensures a safe and secure environment for children to play and frolic in the sand without any worries of sudden waves. The picturesque views of the surrounding palm trees and the golden sun shining down on the beach make it a truly remarkable place to be. 🌴🥇☀️
