Latest reviews on Kos island's beaches

Aqua Blue beach

The beach is sandy and conveniently located near Kos town, making it a great choice for families with children due to its gentle slope into the water. It stretches out for quite a distance and offers both free areas and sections with sunbeds. Despite its popularity, it is not overcrowded. The presence of trees provides ample shade, although it should be noted that the area beneath them tends to be quite dirty.

This beach in Kos is undoubtedly the finest one you'll find. For a mere 5 euros per day, you can rent an umbrella and two sunbeds to relax in the sun. The beach is never overcrowded and you'll only encounter a handful of people. Plus, there's a restaurant just a few steps away that serves delectable meals.

Kouros Palace beach

The Paralia Kouros Beach is well-maintained and Tony, who takes care of it, goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. It's a great credit to the hotel. This is our second year returning to Kouros Palace Hotel, and the only downside was the food this time around. It was much better in 2022 when they had more variety and themed nights like Greek, Italian, and Mexican. It would be helpful if the hotel could arrange a regular evening bus service to Kos Town, as we tried four times but could only find daytime trips. Overall, the hotel is fantastic, with exceptional staff and cleanliness.

What we really liked about the beach resort was that it was very well maintained and in good shape. The gardens were beautiful, and the rooms were modern, clean, and recently renovated. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning wasn't too noisy, and all the windows had fly-nets to keep mosquitoes out. The food had a good variety and high hygienic standards. The fresh fruits were delicious, and we even had the best peach of the year there. There were also four very nice pools, an empty fridge in the room, and a mini market in the resort. Since water is limited in this part of the world, the shower had minimal pressure, which was perfectly fine and enough to enjoy. This just showed their commitment to using limited resources responsibly. Additionally, the mini market provided biodegradable bags instead of plastic. There were only a few things that we felt could be improved upon. The free coffee at breakfast was awful and we wouldn't have it again. There was also no coffee machine in the room. Surprisingly, there was no complimentary still water for dinner or in the room, and guests had to pay for it. It's unusual for a hotel not to provide at least one complimentary bottle of water in the room. The safe also required a daily fee of €3, which seemed unnecessary for a 4-star resort. The towels were only €2.50 for the entire stay, but the size was too small. We could change them up to 4 times, but it would have been better if they were larger. The cocktails were expensive and honestly disappointing. For example, the Pina Colada didn't have cream, only coconut syrup, so it tasted more like a super sweet juice for €7.50, which is a normal price for a "fake" version. The juices at breakfast didn't taste real either; they seemed to be made from syrup. However, fresh orange juice was available for an extra charge. The food wasn't spicy at all, but at least there were some spices at the buffet to add some flavor. The shower was in the bathtub, so you had to "climb" in, which was a bit inconvenient. Lastly, we had two separate beds that kept moving apart. It would have been much better if there was a king-size bed available. Overall, we would definitely recommend this resort. The prices were fair, and the staff was very friendly and polite. Our recommendation for improvement would be to replace the awful free coffee and improve the quality of the cocktails to better reflect the resort's ambition to be a 4-star establishment. We would have loved to sit at the bar in the evening and enjoy our cocktails, but the known quality simply kept us away.

The Sunday event is truly incredible, featuring a different guest DJ every week. The prices are fair, and the setup is excellent. The only downside is that the drink service is a bit slow, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it.

This stunning beach is an absolute gem! It offers a variety of amenities such as comfortable umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as cozy cushions nestled under the shade of the trees. If you prefer a more natural experience, you can simply stretch out on the soft sand without the need for a sunbed. What's more, the staff is incredibly hospitable and always willing to help, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
