Looking for a beach that's not overrun by tourists and commercial development? Look no further than San Miguel. This hidden gem is perfect for those who like to stray off the beaten path. However, be warned that the beach front parking area is not secure, so leaving your car unattended with valuables inside is just asking for trouble. Instead, head to the local eatery where watchful eyes will keep an eye on your belongings. While the beach is safe for swimming, there are no lifeguards on duty, so use common sense and caution. Rip tides can occur, so it's best to head to the estuary at high tide or take a stroll to the rocks. And if you're lucky enough to visit between June and December, you might even catch a glimpse of sea turtles nesting on the beach. Just be sure to visit the volunteer station for more information.
